Just ordered some Brazil Moreinha Formosa...and it is FANTASTIC. Full of soft chocolate, nuts, a hint of raisins, and that soft smokey signature of pan roasting. As always, the roast is smooth and full of flavor.

I actually roasted some Brazil Moreinha Formosa beans in my air roaster a few months ago and have to admit that I prefer Cast Iron Coffee's roast to my own!

Thanks again for providing such wonderful dark roasts!

The Mexican Oaxaca Pluma Don Eduardo was superb. Full of Coco and nuts with a wonderful smoothness and subtle smokiness. Wonderful deep body that can be used for both regular coffee or espresso. You can really tastes the bean's origin taste: it is not obscured at all despite this being a Full City roast.

This is one literally one of the few dark roasts that I have had that has absolutely no bitterness. Most dark roasts I have tasted, especially drum roasted ones from the San Francisco Bay area, are bitter and have little to no taste. After tasting my roast from Cast Iron Coffee, my faith in dark roasts has been restore: this is the way a dark roast is supposed to taste.

I am a home roaster who uses a popcorn popper and generally does lighter City style roasts. I will be using Cast Iron coffee to fulfill my dark roast needs though. This coffee is that good...even my own few dark roasts taste flat in comparison.

Thanks for the wonderful coffee and introduction to pan roasting.

I really love this coffee, it's very unique. I hesitate to use worn out, descriptive terminology, but I will since the adjectives are appropriate. The sensations experienced with a cup of the Peruvian roast are rewarding. Smooth, thick, rich, with maybe a suggestion of sweetness (especially the aftertaste). Very nice.
